In August 2024, we moved from downtown Toronto to suburbs in Ajax. The transition allowed me to experience more of the nature available in Canada. Inspired by the waterfront trail that stretches from Toronto to east end, this watercolour is an ode to the quiet surprises nature offers. As an introvert, my walks often lead me to unexpected beauty—like this moment where seagulls and ducks gathered peacefully at the beach. The dynamic blues of the water meet the shore under a vibrant sky, creating movement and calm.
Sketched on location and completed in the studio, the piece is custom framed in natural oak veneer and comes ready to hang—a reflection of the serenity and wonder found just beyond the everyday.
