In August 2024, we moved from downtown Toronto to suburbs in Ajax. The transition allowed me to experience more of the nature available in Canada. Inspired by the waterfront trail that stretches from Toronto to east end, this watercolour artwork is an ode to the country’s brilliant blue waters. I often visit places like the Rotary Park in Ajax to observe the changing beauty of the landscape—and sometimes, simply to be present. On those days, art takes a back seat to a quiet, meditative connection with nature.
This piece invites you to remember a perfect day by the water—where the sun shines, birds sing, leaves dance, water flows, and a smile naturally finds your face.
