'View From The Top' Original Watercolour Art

Lisbon, Portugal, September 2025.

One of my favourite parts of any trip is walking to the far end of neighbourhoods. We hiked the hilly streets of Lisbon into areas such as Alfama and ran into these gorgeous views during golden hour. We could see the terracotta rooftops, glimpse of the river, the suspension bridge, and buildings throughout and I wanted to capture the entire view as seen from the top.

This original created using watercolours and gouache captures the different terracotta rooftops, and the different buildings in shades of orange, brown and gray. The piece is sold unframed. If you would like professional custom framing, the same can be arranged at additional cost.

We were in Lisbon Portugal in September 2025 and took walks around the city and hiked to hilly views in Alfama and the nearby areas and ran into these expansive rooftop views of the city. We could see the terracotta rooftops, glimpse of the river, the suspension bridge, and buildings throughout. I wanted to capture the entire view as I could see from the top.

The original painting is painted using watercolours and gouache. This fine art print is a reproduction of original painting, printed on textured watercolour paper using Giclée process. It is available in multiple standard sizes and ships for free with tracking.
