In August 2024, we moved from downtown Toronto to suburbs in Ajax. The transition allowed me to experience more of the nature available in Canada. Inspired by the waterfront trail that stretches from Toronto to east end, this watercolour captures the shifting beauty of a summer day touched by wind. Created during one of my many walks, the piece reflects a moment when summer had officially begun, yet the breeze carried a reminder of change.
My work often preserves how a place feels at a specific point in time—and with Canadian summers evolving noticeably in recent years, this scene feels both timely and nostalgic. Birds soar, dandelions dance, waves lap against the shore, and the grass sways—reminding us that even in change, beauty endures. Created with distinct, expressive marks to evoke movement and life, this artwork brings colour and the spirit of change into any space.
