In Indian street markets, vendors welcome you warmly into their colourful world—walls lined floor to ceiling with shoes and sandals (‘juti’), creating a rich, tactile experience. This is the world I grew up in. Each shoe in the painting is painted with care to reflect the variety and craftsmanship of Indian markets. As a woman of colour, I chose to highlight a woman vendor—an everyday figure in these vibrant spaces.

  • The print comes in two standard sizes 9 X 12 inches (21 X 31 cm) and 12 X 16 inches (31 X 41 cm) so you can easily find frames.
