We were in Florence, Italy in 2023. As you walk in the plaza around Cathedral Santa Maria de Fiore, you are suddenly face-to-face with the Duomo - it is so beautiful, grand and its presence fills your senses. This is the feeling I have conveyed in this painting of Cathedral Santa Maria de Fiore (aka ‘The Duomo’). The original painting has honeycomb paper for dome texture and the rest is painted in watercolours and gouache.
